Information for professionals
We have a range of universal sessions for children and their families. Our stay & play activities are led by outstanding Early Years practitioners passionate about promoting early childhood development. We have partnered with a range of training providers to deliver courses and training opportunities for parents looking to go back into employment or looking to development new skills.
Our courses range from GCSE English, maths, ESOL classes for bilingual and multilingual families, Teaching Assistance and Childcare courses. All our courses have a free crèche for babies and toddlers run by our Early Years team. Please click on the link for more on what is currently being offered.
One to One support from our community family workers
Alongside our range of services and session, we also provide one to one support for parents in the local community. Our community family workers support the whole family, where there is a child under 5 years old, where parents may need support in well-being, child development, access to services, support in reducing isolation, Health and well-being, home and money, education and progress to work, and build support around the family and professional network. We offer intense one to one support between 3 to 6 months in the home, at the centre or in the community.
As a partner of Southwark Family Early Help, our one-to-one support is accessible through a Southwark Family Early Help referral. Please see link below to access the referral form.
Advice and Guidance drop in
At Peckham, Peckham Rye and Nunhead children and family centres we offer information, Advice and Guidance sessions for families in the local community. These operate Monday – Friday 9.30-3pm, through telephone call, email and/or face to face at our Rye Oak centre. Just drop in or call asking for advice and one of our experienced Community Family Workers will contact you back, or see you at the centre.
